Similarly, stock options are becoming an increasingly important part of the variable pay plan. The half-day training workshop is aimed at equipping the start-up founders to better understand the impacts of intangibles and stock options on the financial statements for Businesses & Companies so as to exploit the characteristics of the intangibles and stock options to grow your businesses.

Trainer’s Profile

Koh Wee Kwang Director, CA TRUST PAC

Wee Kwang has been a finance professional for more than 19 years, and his main areas of expertise include financial statements reporting, corporate governance review, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and internal auditing. He is currently an Audit Director with CA TRUST PAC.

Wee Kwang serves a wide range of clients in Singapore including educational institutions, non-profit organisations, SMEs, MNCs as well as public companies listed on the SGX. He has also facilitated numerous programmes (both financial and non-financial) with the National Community Leadership Institute (NACLI) and Kaplan Professional.

Wee Kwang’s strength as a trainer lies in his ability to simplify complex financial concepts for his trainees. By adopting a variety of interactive approaches, he ensures that his training is well-suited to every individual trainee’s different learning style.

Chua Soo Rui – Director, CA TRUST PAC

Soo Rui has 13 years of experience as an auditor. Through these years, she has gained valuable experiences and exposures to a broad and good mix of core accounting skills including audit, taxation, accounting, financial and tax due diligence, M&A advisory etc.

Her audit exposure include audit of financial statements of many types industries – manufacturing of (wood making) machines; trading of (industrial sewing machines); manufacturing of dairy products and feed mills; large construction companies and developer of real estates; retail consumer products, travel agents etc.

Gerald Tan – Managing Partner, Future Asia Advisory

Gerald Tan is the Managing Partner of Future Asia Advisory, which focuses on valuation and mergers/acquisitions consulting in South East Asia. In the start-up space, Gerald has advised numerous start-ups on financial structuring, valuation and fund-raising with VCs in the region. On the mergers/acquisitions front, Gerald has worked with clients in the Manufacturing, Consumer Discretionary and Logistics sectors.

Prior to setting up Future Asia, Gerald was with PwC for 6 years, and 11 years in Wealth Management in China, Hong Kong, India and in London. Gerald also holds a first-class honours degree in Finance/Accounting from NTU, had passed the CFA exams, and holds the Chartered Valuation Analyst qualification.

    • Myth of “Profits” but “Where is the Cash?” Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity and cash is reality
  • Understanding the implication of Auditor’s Independent Report
    • Difference between an Unqualified, Emphasis of Matter (‘EOM”), Qualified, Adverse and Disclaimer Audit
