Organised by NUS Enterprise, the Entrepreneurial Link series aims to provide start-ups, venture investors and corporate partners in Singapore and key entrepreneurial hubs overseas a bilateral platform for knowledge exchange and networking. This is so as to deepen the link between the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Singapore and the respective overseas hubs.

In collaboration with StartSe and SPC Brasil, this forum is set to be a Singapore-Brazil exchange that will highlight the market and investment opportunities, as well as the support mechanisms available in these two countries. See you there!

Magno de Sousa Lima Neto
Director of Innovation
SPC Brasil Experian

Magno is the director of innovation of SPC Brasil, Brazil’s largest credit bureau. SPC Brasil Experian is present in all of Brazil’s 27 states, with over 1 million points of sale and 450.000 associates. It hosts info on over 25 million companies, 200 million individuals and over 50 million queries per month.

Magno has over 16 years of working experience, working at the industrial, financial, services(consultancy) sectors, 10+ years of experience in management of projects in the area of IT and processes, implementing and optimising Enterprise Resource Plannings (ERPs), databases, solutions and applications, data-centres, infrastructure, telecom, quality systems and process in business. He is also a Project Manager and has been a soccer referee in his free time.

 

Ricardo Stanford-Geromel
Head of Asia, StartSe

Ricardo is the Head of StartSe in Asia, and is based in Shanghai. StartSe is Brazil's largest startup ecosystem. From the 20 largest firms in Brazil, 6 are StartSe clients. StartSe has over 200 corporate clients that want to be connected to the new digital economy. They also organise international trips for investors and entrepreneurs. In 2017 alone, StartSe took over 400 investors and entrepreneurs to the Silicon Valley. They invested dozens of millions of dollars and brought several business back to Brazil. In 2018, StartSe already has had missions to Silicon Valley, Israel, China and this will be the first to Singapore.

Ricardo has also been writing for Forbes since 2011. He was a member of the wealth team covering billionaires at Forbes HQ in NYC. Now he writes about a variety of issues and covers Brazilian billionaires for Forbes as a contributor. You can read some of his articles here.

 

Professor Wong Poh Kam
Senior Director

NUS Entrepreneurship Centre

WONG Poh Kam is Professor at the NUS Business School and Senior Director of NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, where he spearheads the university’s experiential entrepreneurship education programs and oversees the NUS Enterprise Incubator (NEI), which provides incubation space, seed funding and mentorship for start-ups by NUS students, professors and alumni. Through the centre, he also initiated the annual DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia in 2014.
