In this segment, Ronald Wong, Partner, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Singapore Leader, will provide a broad overview of selected key accounting amendments effective in 2019 and 2020 covering uncertain income tax treatments, and amendments to IFRS 3, among others.
Cybersecurity: Lessons learned from the trenches, how hackers exploit ERP and procurement systems
In this segment, Steve Lam, Partner and ASEAN Cyber Security Leader, will explore new trends in how cyber criminals are targeting organizations to extract money or ransom systems based on EY’s cybersecurity breach investigations conducted over the past few years.
The discussion will be focused on a number of case studies where we examine what are some of the key systems at risk and the factors that influences the securing both human and technology. This segment also explores some pointers and business controls that organizations can conduct to detect if it is under a cyberattack and how to make it harder for attackers to breach the organization.
