Sean has over 20 years of Asia Pacific equity experience. He oversees the Investment Process, Portfolio and Team of the Interlink strategy at Swiss Asia Asset Management. Sean was previously the Portfolio Manager and Managing Director of Matchpoint Investment Management a firm he co-founded. At Matchpoint, Sean was responsible for fundamental soft-catalyst investments, including stock selection, hedging and risk management.
Sean started his career in investment management in 1994 when he joined Merrill Lynch Asset Management (now BlackRock) in the Hong Kong Office. In 1999, Sean joined UBS and led the technology research team as Asia Pacific Tech Strategist. Between 2002 and 2005, Sean was highly ranked in Asia research polls including #1 ranking in Institutional Investor and #2 team ranking by Asia Money. In 2005, Sean joined Olympus Capital in Hong Kong as a Research Director. In 2007 and 2008 Sean was the Hong Kong-based Asia Managing Director of Ivory Capital.
Sean is a Canadian Chartered Accountant and Chartered Public Accountant. In 2000, Sean earned his CFA designation. Sean currently is the Vice Chairman of CPA Canada Hong Kong Chapter. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. As part of the Chartered Accountant program, Sean attended The University of Toronto and York University. Sean is a Member of the Hong Kong International School Advancement Committee and has extensive leadership involvement with charities in Hong Kong and abroad. He is married with two daughters.
