We are excited to announce the return of our marquee event, the Litigation Conference Workshop! Proudly presented by the Civil Practice Committee of The Law Society of Singapore, this 2-day Workshop (16 & 17 April 2020), looks ahead at the imminent changes to the legal landscape in light of the Civil Justice Reforms.
Participants can look forward to an invaluable opportunity to both hone their litigation skills in small-group breakout sessions as well as engage in robust debate during lectures and general sessions in the course of these two intense and power-packed days. As with the first workshop in 2014, we have lined up an impressive array of Queen’s Counsel, Senior Counsel, and senior members of the Singapore Bar as trainers for this workshop. Further, we are delighted to add that as with the 2018 workshop, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple will be contributing Queen’s Counsel as trainers in collaboration with us.
The Workshop will be delivered through a case study approach underpinning general sharing sessions by panellists and small-group learning sessions. Delegates will be grouped according to their years of practice and litigation experience for the breakout session. Two case studies designed specifically for the Workshop will be used by all delegates, covering the following topics:
Session 1: Understanding, Preparing & Presenting Your Case
Session 2: Interlocutory Applications & Appeals
Session 3: Evidence Handling/Technology
Session 1: Trial Advocacy
Session 2: Appellate Advocacy
Do not miss this exclusive opportunity to observe cross-examinations by the esteemed trainers, gain helpful insights on civil procedure, litigation practice and advocacy, and engage in robust conversation with some of the best legal minds from Singapore and beyond.
