ROS-Industrial Developer's Training - Basic
Course Overview:
Mon 23 Sep 15.00-17.00 - Virtual Machine and/or Ubuntu system check (MANDATORY)
Tue 24 Sep 09.00-17.00 - Basic Training Day 1
Wed 25 Sep 09.00-17.00 - Basic Training Day 2
Thu 26 Sep 09.00-17.00 - Basic Training Day 3
Costs include lunch, morning and afternoon tea for training days.
Course Prerequisites: Linux/Ubuntu familiarity, C++ programming experience and a desire to program robots!
Limited availability: For non-members, government members, or for seats in excess of your limit, the training fee is per attendee. Space for the training is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Equipment required:
Upon confirmation, you are required to ensure that you have a laptop that has either:
1. Native Ubuntu 18.04 and ROS Melodic installed and you have downloaded the training material here
or
2. If it's a windows / Apple laptop you are running VM and have downloaded the training material here.

o Motion Planning Using Rviz, C++

o Introduction to Descartes Path Planning
o Introduction to Perception

o Day 1 and 2 Recap
o Break
o Lab Introduction, Labs (1) Pick and Place Application – Simulation Only, (2) Descartes
Application using UR10
o Lunch
o Work on Lab Applications
