Chua Hwee Theng

Tax Director, RSM

Hwee Theng  is a tax director at RSM. She has more than 15 years of experience in corporate and personal income taxes at the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and public accounting firms, including the Big-4 firm.

Hwee Theng is experienced in all aspects of tax compliance and tax filing matters. She advises clients on issues on double tax treaty interpretations, tax risk management, tax incentives, withholding tax, cross-border transactions and investment structuring. She also undertakes tax due diligence reviews and tax investigation and audit. As one of the leaders in charge of our Real Estate and Construction Industry, Hwee Theng deals with issues relating to this specialised field.     

As an Accredited Tax Practitioner of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals, Hwee Theng also speaks regularly in public seminars organised by different professional bodies and trade associations. 

 

Richard Ong

Tax Partner & Head, GST Services, RSM

Richard heads the GST Division in RSM. He has more than 15 years of experience in GST with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), Deloitte & Touche LLP, and United Test and Assembly Center Ltd (UTAC). His diverse background with the tax authority, professional and commercial firms allows him to share with seminar participants a balanced view and approach towards GST risk management and compliance. Richard has spoken at public seminars in Singapore and Malaysia on topics such as Understanding Goods & Services Tax, Managing GST Risks, the GST Assisted Self-help Kit (ASK) and Malaysia GST. He is also an Accredited Tax Advisor (GST) with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals Limited.

 

Selena Ling

Head of Treasury Research & Strategy, OCBC Bank

Selena is Head of Treasury Research & Strategy in OCBC Bank. She is responsible for Treasury market research, forecasts, and trading recommendations for the bank, covering fixed income, interest rates, corporate credit, foreign exchange, and macroeconomic commentary. She is a member of the OCBC Wealth Panel and the Economic Society of Singapore.

Under her leadership, OCBC Bank’s research capabilities have been greatly valued by customers and highly ranked in surveys for interest rate research, FX research, market coverage and Asian macroeconomic research. Prior to joining OCBC Bank in August 2000, Selena was with the Fiscal Policy Unit under the Ministry of Finance (MOF), and the Economics Department in the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).

 

Hoi Wai Khin

Director, Risk Advisory, RSM 

Wai Khin has over 15 years of overseas and local experience in information systems, specialising in information security and business continuity.

He manages risk/audit/security programmes to meet legal, human resources, audit, IT, risk management and information security requirements. Through constant innovation, Wai Khin implements value added security programmes to support organisations’ objectives and builds security frameworks that go beyond regulatory compliance.

His global experiences include assisting organisations with MAS technology risk management, IT due diligence audits, Sarbanes Oxley 404 IT General Computer Control audits, IT diagnostic audits for merger & acquisition processes, ISO 27001 certification projects, and compliance with internal and external IT audit requirements.

 

Jenny Lim

Executive Director, Head of Specialty Risks, Howden Group

Jenny joined Howden in August 2015 to head up the Specialty Risks Division where she is responsible for the overall delivery of financial lines insurance solutions and services to clients. She also oversees the regional M&A and Cyber Security practice in Asia.

She has over 15 years of experience in risk and insurance consultancy and began her career with another large UK insurance broker, focusing on business development before eventually heading up the Professional & Executive Risks Division. Her client portfolio includes financial institutions, professional firms, technology companies as well as top main-board listed companies.

She holds a Bachelor of Business from Nanyang Technology University of Singapore. She is also an Associate and Chartered Insurance Broker of the Chartered Insurance Institute in United Kingdom.
