  1. When will registration for the RUN FOR CHARITY 2017 start and end?
    Registration starts in mid July 2017. Closing Date is 31 October 2017.

  1. What is the minimum age for each category of the run?
    • 8km Individual: Participants must be aged 15 years and above (as on event day).
    • 4km Costume & Fun: Participants must be aged 15 years and above (as on event day).
    • 400m Family Challenge: The child must be between the age of 3 to 12 years old (as on event day).
  1. Will there be any special rates for SPGG Members / SP Alumni / Ulu Pandan CC Members?
    No, as this is a charity run special rates do not apply.
  1. Is GST included in the registration fees?
    Yes, all fees are inclusive of 7% GST.
  1. What are the modes of payment for registration?
    Payment can be made through PayPal via e-registration or cash / cheque payment over at SPGG Reception Counter.
  1. How will I know if my registration has been successful?
    Participants will receive a confirmation/invoice sent to his/her email. For those who opt for CASH/CHEQUE payment, participants must bring along the confirmation/invoice when making their payment over at our SPGG Reception Counter. Only when payment is received will the registration be considered complete.
  1. What if I have not received my confirmation/invoice despite registering and making payment?
    In such cases, the participant(s) may provide us the following details via email to rfc2017@spgg.org.sg or call at 6796 9988:
    • Participant’s Name
    • Participant’s NRIC/Passport No.
    • Participant’s Contact Number
  1. Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?
    No. All event registrations are non-refundable.
  1. Can I transfer my event registration if I wish to withdraw from the run?
    No. All event registrations are non-transferrable.

  2. Can I make changes to my particulars after submitting my registration, or if I make a mistake in the registration process?
    Participants who wish to change their particulars after registration may do so by providing the following details to rfc2017@spgg.org.sg before 31 October 2017.

    • Participant’s NRIC / Passport No.
    • Participant’s Contact Number
    • Changes required
  1. Can I request for a change in my run category after registration?
    Participants are strictly not allowed to change their run category after their registration is confirmed.

  2. Can I participate for more than 1 category?
    You are allowed to register for more than 1 category if the timing permits. However, please note that the flag off timings for each category will be as follows:
    • The 8km Individual Run will flag off in waves starting from 7.30am, in intervals of 5mins per wave
    • The 4km Costume & Fun Run will flag off in waves from 8.30am, in intervals of 5mins per wave
    • The 400m Family Challenge will flag off at 9.30am
  1. Do I need to fill up any relevant indemnity form and require parental/guardian consent if I’m below the age of 18?
    Yes, participants below the age of 18 (as on event day) are required to seek parental / guardian consent, except for the 400m Family Challenge Categories. They would need to email / fax the indemnity declaration forms to us, failing which; The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to the participant.

 

ABOUT THE RUN

  • Where will the run be held?
    The start and end point of the run will be at the SP Sports Complex Running Track.
  • Which charitable organisation is Run For Charity 2017 supporting?
    The Singapore Association for The Deaf.
  • Will there be timing device and official time keeping?
    As this is a charity / fun run, there won’t be any timing device provided. However, we have a big timing display at the end of the run.
  • Will I get a certificate after the run? Will there be an e-certificate?
    No.  There will not be any certificate or e-certificate issued.
  • Will there be prizes for the top runner?
    No.  However, finisher medals will be given to runners completing the run.

 

ON THE DAY OF RUN

  • Am I required to wear the Run For Charity 2017 t-shirt provided during my run?
    Yes. All participants except for the costume run, MUST wear their Run For Charity 2017 t-shirt to run in the event. Participants not wearing the t-shirt will NOT be able to run. No replacement t-shirts will be given and no refunds are allowed.

  • Will there be transport provided to the event venue?
    No. However, participants who travel via MRT can alight at Dover station and walk to event venue. (approx. 5 – 8mins). There is also bus service no: 33 and 196 which participants can alight outside SPGG.
  • Is there a baggage deposit area?
  • No. Participants are advised to travel light.
  • Will there be road closures?
    No, there won’t be road closures. As 4km and 8km participants will run on road pavements and park connectors assisted by road marshals. 400m Family Challenge will run at the SP Sports Complex Running Track.
  • Will there be participants' bibs issued to runners?
    No. We will not be issuing any participants' bibs for the run.
  • Can I use roller blades, skateboards, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, bus etc… to get from point to point?
    No. As this is a foot run, no form of assistance, both motorised or un-motorised, will be permitted.
  • Can I bring my baby in the stroller without registering my child for the run?
    No, only registered participants will be allowed into the start area and along the running route.
  • Can I bring my dogs to run along?
    No, no pets or animals are allowed for this event.
