With the ageing population and increasing incidence of dementia in Singapore, there has been a marked paradigm shift from a structured regiment of institutionalised care to a more person-centred approach. There is a growing need to understand the concepts of functionality, comfort as well as visual and tactile stimuli for the elderly, and translate these parameters into a conducive healing space.
This 1-day workshop focuses on the participatory design approach that will help you to re-evaluate what it takes to lead and manage the design process for the transformation of eldercare spaces in your own or your client’s organisation.
Hear from speakers and panellists from various design, healthcare and engineering backgrounds who will share approaches, strategies and techniques through work group discussions and panel session. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to draw insights from the design process planning and translate them into action.
