About the Programme

This e-Masterclass aims to advance on your knowledge about mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in ASEAN+6 contexts. We will explore the strategic objectives and different structures of cross-border M&A deals, followed by the preparation of the principal agreement and the ancillary documents for executing the deals.

This programme will also deal with the key aspects of negotiating and risk management in cross-border M&A deal. Common issues arising out of cross-border practice between ASEAN+6 will also be addressed.

ASEAN: The Association of Southeast Asian Nations was founded in 1967. In December 2015, it formed the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The AEC seeks to establish the region’s end goal of economic integration.

ASEAN Member States: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

ASEAN+ 6 Nations: The six nations (Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea and New Zealand) that enjoy Free Trade Agreements with ASEAN.
