Welcome to EventNook Pte. Ltd. ("eventnook," "the company," "We," "Us," or "Our"), where we provide comprehensive event management solutions for a diverse range of clients and industries, including MICE, corporations, enterprises, governments, institutions, schools, business and NGO associations, non-profit & charity organizations, and community-driven events. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards for ethical and legal conduct to ensure a positive and professional experience for all users and participants on our platform.

Scope and Acceptance

This Code of Conduct applies to all users of our services, including EventNook staff, clients, event organizers, event participants, and sponsors. By using our platform, you agree to comply with these guidelines, as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  • Strict Adherence to Legal Standards: All users of EventNook's platform are required to comply with applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, laws related to privacy, data protection, intellectual property, anti-discrimination, and business conduct.
  • Violation of Laws: Users should ensure that their events, activities, and content shared on our platform do not violate any laws. This responsibility extends to understanding and respecting the legal frameworks that govern their activities, both in their own country and in the countries of other users they may interact with.
  • Common Sense and Ethical Conduct Beyond legal compliance, users are expected to exercise common sense and uphold high standards of ethical conduct. This means avoiding actions that, while not explicitly illegal, may be considered unethical or detrimental to the trust and safety of the EventNook community.
  • Reporting and Addressing Non-Compliance: Any suspected non-compliance or legal violations should be promptly reported to EventNook. We will take necessary actions, which might include investigation, reporting to authorities, or taking corrective measures within our platform.

2.2 Confidentiality and Data Protection

EventNook Commitment For Organisers, Clients, and Participants

  • Strictly adhere to all relevant data protection laws and regulations, specifically the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European data subjects and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) for data handling in Singapore, along with any other applicable local and international privacy laws.
  • Adhere to data protection laws and best practices, ensuring the privacy and security of participant data.
  • EventNook provides the necessary onboarding and training to our staff regarding the handling of client data, ensuring a thorough understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles. Regular updates are provided to keep our team informed of the latest best practices and legal changes in data privacy and security.
  • Even though security is an ongoing challenge and commitment, EventNook is dedicated to maintaining a 'zero breach' policy. We are committed to achieving the highest standards in data security and confidentiality. Our team continuously works towards identifying and mitigating any risks that could potentially lead to data breaches, thus ensuring the utmost protection of client data.

2.3 Conflict of Interest

  • Avoid any activities or relationships that might conflict with your responsibilities or the interests of EventNook. and its clients.
  • In instances where a potential conflict of interest is reported by a client or identified by EventNook, we will promptly assess the situation to determine the appropriate course of action. Our response to such situations is geared toward ensuring the integrity and fairness of our operations. Depending on the nature of the conflict, this may involve reassigning responsibilities, modifying an event plan, or, in certain cases, terminating the user's involvement in specific activities on the platform. The primary goal in these situations is to maintain an environment free from bias and undue influence.

EventNook is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in its business practices. 3. Respectful and Inclusive Behavior

3.1 Harassment-Free Environment

3.2 Professional Conduct

  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all interactions.

  • Strictly refrain from sharing any confidential or proprietary information without proper authorization. This includes adhering to all confidentiality agreements and privacy laws to protect others' sensitive data.
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of third parties. Confirm you have the necessary permissions to use, post, or distribute any material, including texts, images, and videos. Do not upload, share, or distribute copyrighted materials unless it is clear that such use is permitted or falls under fair use provisions.
